Email your own XML invoices to buyers that are not on Peppol
Raw XML invoices and credit notes can now be sent with `recipient: null`: validated and emailed exactly as you wrote them.
If your software writes its own UBL or CII, you can now email it to a buyer who is not on Peppol as it is. Until now, an email-only send needed a JSON document, which Recommand wrote anew.
What changed
Send documentType: "xml" with recipient: null and email.to. The XML is validated as it would be for a Peppol recipient and attached to the email exactly as given, with any embedded PDF as a separate attachment.
This works for invoices, credit notes and their self-billing counterparts in a format Recommand reads. Other documents are refused with a 400, and French regulated documents still have to go over Peppol.
One route for every buyer
To reach buyers on Peppol and buyers who are not with the same call, send the XML to the buyer's Peppol address and add email.to: a buyer not on Peppol gets the email straight away. See Structured e-invoices by email and the email delivery guide.
